The BLACKMAN (Bleichman/Bleikhman) and GILENSON Families

I know that my father was born in Rezekne. He was born as Wolf Gilenson. His name was anglicized to Walter Gilson when he, as a child, was naturalized. I can't find the details, but I assume at least some of his siblings were also born there; the only one that I know for certain, though, was my father. The petition for naturalization of Samuel Blackman (my grand-uncle) shows him as born in "Rezitsa, Russia" (see attachment) I believe, since Rezekne was "Rezhitsa" in Russian, this is the same place. I myself am having some difficulty in obtaining information about some of my ancestors, and any information others may send you about the Gilenson and Bleichman families would be of interest.
