Aleksandr Suvorov

Aleksandr Suvorov was a founder of the town. The monument to Generalissimus Alexander Suvorov was opened in November 1979,for the 250th anniversary of the great commander.

Kolkotova Balka (Kolkotova Beam)

Kolkotova Balka is a a unique geological and paleontological monument on the northern outskirts of Tiraspol. There is a project to create museum in the open air in place of geological and paleontological career. The name of one of the town areas is derrived from Kolkotova Balka. It's called Balka.
