The Stoliner Progressive Society

According to The Guide to YIVO Archives, the Stoliner Progressive Society was

organized in New York in 1919 by immigrants from Stolin, Byelorussia. Affiliated with Stoliner branches of the Workmen’s Circle. Supported by charities and the local Hebrew school.

Cemetery Plot

The Stoliner Progressive Society also purchased a burial plot for their members at Mount Lebanon Cemetery in Glendale, Queens, NY in section M-46.

Records

JewishGen also compiled a list of members of the Stoliner Progressive Society using 1960’s membership lists and burial receipt stubs from the YIVO Archives.

The YIVO Archives, which are housed at the Center for Jewish History, contain the organization's cemetery records, financial information, and minutes of meetings in Yiddish (Record Group 847, 3 Boxes).
