Going up towards the church |
Salomon Mayer lived in the first houses with his wife Babette Bonem
and their eight children. The barn was attached on the side. The synagogue stood right beyond the houses.
You can see a wall of the Catholic Church and its bell tower.
Sauerstaden is a beautiful street with chestnut trees and a park along
the river. Many Jews lived on it. It goes towards the cemetery and in the direction of Echternach.
