In the nineteenth and early twentieth century, Borisov was a large town on the Berezina River within the Pale of Jewish Settlement in the Russian Empire. About half of the residents were Jewish. In the twenty-first century, the now small city is part of Belarus and is officially renamed Barysaw.

This webpage is intended to assist the descendants of Jewish Borisovers in learning about the town and about their ancestors. If you have information to post that would be of interest to those of us researching families with roots in Borisov, please email the website owner, Susan Slusky.
