William Schubin owner of the Hoboken Economy Store wasn't among the first settlers of Hoboken, but his story and the story of his family mirrors the experience of American Jews. The Hoboken Historical Museum holds a collection of items relating to the family, but among the most informative is the obituary written by his son-in-law.
