The following letters have been donated by Peggy Heller, the oldest daughter, of the oldest daughter, of the oldest daughter of Frieda Miron.
The letters were written in January and February of 1959 by Peggy's great-great-uncle Gershon Miron to his daughter Thelma. The letters, now in English,
were translated from Yiddish by Gershon's oldest son Sam (Peggy's great-grandmother's nephew).

Gershon wrote about Thelma's mother's family and about his (and Peggy's) family.
His letters cover several generations of family history — names, professions, locations, and daily life.
Most events take place in Zhytomir and in the town of Korostishev, thirty miles distant.
