Yehoshua ("Eshel") Win was born around 1870 to Avraham and Dina Win.
Yehoshua married Chaya-Pesia who was born in. 1872 in Sopockin to
Yosef and Sarah Frumanski. Yehoshua owned a flour-mill in Lunna.
Yehoshua and Chaya-Pesia had three daughters and a son, all born in
Lunna: Nechama (b. ca. 1900), Rashel, Sarah ("Sertche", b. 1908) and
Yitzchak ("Aizik", b. 1911).
The Children of Yehoshua and Chaya-Pesia Win
Nechama (Win) married Leib Reizner, son of Zelig and Sarah-Leah
Reizner. They had four children who were born in Lunna: Aliza, Dina,
Rachel and Zelig. In May 1940 Nechama (Win) Reizner and the children
were exiled by the Soviets to Siberia and, in this way, survived the
Holocaust. Leib Reizner was sent to prison in Minsk. Later, in June
1941, shortly before the Germans overran Minsk, the Soviets released a
number of "political" prisoners, including Leib Reizner, who returned
to Lunna to search for his family. Leib remained in Lunna and perished
in the Holocaust. His wife Nechama died in Siberia. In 1949 Leib's
mother, Sarah-Leah, and her grandchildren (Leib and Nechama's
children) returned to Poland and in 1950 they came to Israel. They
have families in Israel.
Rashel (Win) left for Eretz Israel in 1932. She married Yosef Fisher
and was known as Ruth Fisher. They have family in Israel.
Aizik Win left for Eretz Israel in 1938, married to Tova and was known
as Aizik Carmeli. They have family in Israel.
Yehoshua and Chaya-Pesia Win and their daughter Sarah ("Sertche")
perished in the Holocaust.
Note: Yehoshua ("Eshel") Win had a sister named Eszka (Win) who
married Hershel Pinchosowicz. Eszka and Hershel had four children: Beila
(b.1896) married Moshe-Aron Nosacki, they left for the US (see:
Nosacki family page); the other three children:
Chaya, Yehuda and Mowsha (b. 1908) perished in the Holocaust.
