RITSCHER
family
The RITSCHER (also
spelled RITSER or RICSER) family is a large family
group in Körmend. One major branch of this
family was headed by Moses RITSCHER and his wife Roza/
Rozalia nee FRITZ. The family of Cornelia ELKAN
nee RITSCHER, daughter of Moses' and Roza's youngest
son, Jozsef RITSCHER, moved to Hódmezővásárhely around

then Lazar NEUFELD (1804-?), a widower, in 1862.

Gizella survived the Holocaust and lived at 41 Katona
Jozsef after the war.

1907; married Imre SZAKATS (1872-?) in 1917.

(1877-?) in 1912 in Budapest. Their surname was
changed to ERDOS.
4) Vilmos BLAU (1891-1891; lived 1 day)
4) Gyozo BLAU (1892-1944; Mauthausen); surname changed
to BALAZS; converted to Roman Catholicism. He
married his cousin Erzsebet BLAU (see below) and they
and their two children lived in Vienna.

Lajos ELKAN (1865-1920; Budapest), a widower with no
children, in 1904. Nelly married her second
husband Gyula WALLENSTEIN (1882-1944; surname changed
to VERMES) in 1927.
4) Edit ELKAN (1906; Hódmezővásárhely-1965; Budapest)
married Lajos ÓLAH (1897; Kunszentmarton- 1971).
He was a Catholic who had served in the Austrian
military in WWI.
4) Rudolf ELKAN (1907; Hódmezővásárhely-1942; labor
battalion on the Russian front) married Ilona/Loni
PORSZASZ (1907-?).

4) Laszlo ELKAN (1910, Hódmezővásárhely-?). He
moved to Paris and changed his name to Lucien HERVE.
