This RECHNITZER family is
associated with the towns of Körmend and Muraszombat in Vas megye.
Muraszombat, also known as Olsnitz, Mura-Szombat, Murska Subota, and Sobota is today known as Murska Sobota. It is about 32 miles SW of Körmend in present day Slovenia. Its map coordinates are: 46° 40', 16° 10'. In the 1800s, it was part of Vas megye in the Muraszombati district.
There are several individuals named RECHNITZER who were born in Körmend and then moved to Muraszombat. The following are trees of those individuals. It is known that Samuel and Moses were brothers. It is presumed that Betti and Albert were also siblings. It is not known if all individuals with the RECHNITZER surname in Vas megye are related, as the name merely indicates originating from the town of Rechnitz and does not necessarily denote a relationship.

lived in Belatincz, today Betinci, a village in Slovenia 5 miles southeast of Muraszombat.
