'Emblem of Good Will':
A Polish Declaration of Admiration and Friendship
for the United States of America

image
This listing was taken from the official Austrian government list issued with initial regulations and instructions for registering vital events in 1877.  Kalusz was a main kehilla district. The town also served as a subdistrict headquarters. Wojnilow was the only other subdistrict with 19 towns for which it was responsible. Note that there were several German colonies within this district.... Jews probably did not live in those communities but they were listed anyway:  Bania; Bereznica szlacheka;  Berlohy; Broszniow; Chocin; Dobrowlany; Dolhe kaluskie; Grabowka; Holyn; Humenow; Jasien; Jaworowka; Kadobna; Kalusz itself; Kamien; Kopanka; Kotiatycze; Krasna; Kropiwnik; Landestreu (a colony); Ldziany; Majdan; Mosciska; Myslow; Niebylow; Nowica; Petranka; Podhorki; Podmichaele; Pojlo; Przyalop; Rypianka; Rownia; Siwka kaluska; Sliwki; Sloboda niebyowska and nownianska; Studzianka; Topolsko; Tuzlow; Ugartsthal (colony); Uhrynow sredni and stary; Wierzebnia; Wistowa; Zagorze; Zawadka; Zawoj; Zbora.

*Tony Hausner believes these are all the same district, and that some have wojew Stanislawow because whomever wrote the entry added those components while other persons did not.
