| 2/15/2015 Big news for Kishinev KehilaLinks Site Hello everybody,
I'm glad to announce that the Kishinev Kehilalinks website has reopened its eyes.
Peter MacDonald, his creator, could not continue working on it and in January I've become its new responsible. I've become also the town leader for Kishinev on the Bessarabia SIG.
I've performed a complete remake of the site both on visuals and structure. All the contents of the former site has been reused to fit in the different new sections of the site.
I've started adding a lot of new material owned by the Bessarabia SIG and the rest will be added in the next months.
There's still a lot of work to do and I expect that each one of you who have ancestors coming from Kishinev will collaborate.
Indeed, there are sections dedicated to:
- images and videos
- articles about the different sides of Kishinev's life
- articles about stories from individuals or families.
You can propose your images and/or articles to be published on the site. This will help to make it grow.
Of course, all your comments to improve the site will also be welcomed.
The site's address is http://kehilalinks.jewishgen.org/chisinau/
We also need your help to develop new and ongoing projects (data acquisition, translation and indexing).
You can collaborate either by:
- donating datasets (contact me privately)
- donating money for the acquisition of new datasets (visit the Bessarabia SIG projects page of the JewishGen-erosity program)
- volunteering to manage translation/indexing projects and/or translating datasets from Hebrew or Russian
Regards,
Ariel PARKANSKY
