Chechelnik is a town on the Savranka River (a tributary of the Southern Bug) in Vinnytsia Oblast.
Located near the Odessa Oblast, Chechelnik is half a day's drive (250km) from the city of Odessa and 330km SSW of Kyyiv.
Currently in Ukraine, before the russian revolution, it belonged to the Ologopol Uyezd (district) in the Podolia Gubernia (province) of the Russian Empire.
