Tolcsva and the Holocaust

When it comes to the Holocaust, so much can be said and shared.  Viewers are welcome and encouraged to share information, photos, and stories.

The table below represents names extracted from Yad Vashem records, by typing in "Tolcsva" in the field marked "place."
At the time of compilation (26 May 2017) there were 698 records of people listed as having been murdered during the Holocaust.  Not all had been born there; some were just living there, having been born in other places. These are NOT all the family names of people who had lived in Tolcsva!

In Yad Vashem's records, sometimes there are duplicate records for the same person, but from different sources. As much as could be discerned, the following are the unique family names of the Holocaust victims who were known to have been born in Tolcsva.

Note: sometimes, in the case of married women, their maiden names were not always available.
Additionally, some names were "Magyarized" over time.  Attempts were made to learn the original names by looking
in the Hungarian Names Change (1800-1893) book, to determine what might have been the original names. The book is in Hungarian, but easy enough to search.

Important: If anyone is related to someone with any of the names below and wishes to indicate so, their names may be added as we come to learn about that. This will be added to the "Interested Descendants" column.
