New Mukacheve Cemetery

After the demolition of the old Munkács cemetery in the 1960's, Jewish residents living in Mukacheve and nearby villages have used the new Mukacheve cemetery as their final resting place. Today, in 2012, the new Mukacheve cemetery has 650+ burials.

Some families were able to move and reinter their loved ones in the new cemetery, including some very important rabbis.

The new Mukacheve cemetery is located on its outer limits, to the east south east. (refer to map below).
