Dr. Burba

Dr. Burba was the main doctor of the Mazeikiai hospital. He was a friend of the Aharoni family and he eye witnessed the Holocust.

We found two letters from him to Kalaman Aharoni, sent to the USA after the war ( 1945 and 1947). The letters are now filed with Yad Vashem in Jerusalem (file #4433278). Following are the letters and the translation.

In 2003, following the Kahana trip to Mazeikiai, Kostas Burba (the son of Dr. Burba), who now resides in Chicago, USA, wrote the family history given below.
