Application by Upington Jewish community for grant of land for construction of a synagogue (PDF)
The application, for transfer of erven 58 and 59, was submitted in 1904 and granted by an act of Parliament in 1905, but the synagogue was finally built only around 1921 (see minutes of general meetings below). Records from the South African National Archives, Cape Town.
