HISTORY OF THE FAMILY MALTZ

The story is told by Silvina Maltz.
My Grandpa Jacobo Maltz, was born in Yampol by the end of 1800, he arrived to Argentina around 1911-1913 at the age of 17.
The ship left from the port of Hamburg, the name of the ship was Graf Portugal. All this information is based on my dad's memory, Lazaro Maltz, He is 87 years old.
Unfortunately on the way back to Europe the ship sunk, product of the First War World.
The ship stopped in New York, before Buenos Aires where my Grandpa's cousin left the boat. (I don't know his name)
My father remembers that my Grandpa was a great swimmer and he used to swim in the Dniester River, and his Grandpa (my Great grandpa) named Leon Maltz's job was to built boats to navigate the Dniester River.
