My father Asher Grevler ( Oseris Grevleris) was born in Rozalimas on 20 April 1910, many years after his other siblings, and emigrated to South Africa: Cape Town in 1928. His parents were Ben Zion Grevler and Gita Basha Kruger.

An elder brother , Maurice, had emigrated to Johannesburg before 1928 as well as an uncle, Isaac Grevler. Maurice was married to Sarah (nee Plett) and they had two sons Bentley and Basil. My father’s older sister , Hana Diamond, nee Grevler, emigrated in August 1939 (Just before the invasion). After the big fire in Rozalimas in 1930 the Diamond family had moved to Panevezys until their emigration to South Africa in 1939. She was accompanied by her daughters Ruth, Hilda, Leah and youngest son Aharon. Her husband David Diamond and Abe, their eldest son, were already in South Africa. My father was very close to Leah as well as to another cousin, Sarah Brower nee Kruger. Leah and Sam Kramer and their three daughters emigrated to Israel together with Hana who was in her eighties in the 1960's Copyright
