HISTORY OF THE FAMILY VALEDNITZKY

THE DESCENDANTS OF MICHAEL VALEDNITZKY

RESEARCH BY JOANNE SOROKA, EDINBURGH, UK (GREAT GRANDDAUGHTER OF DEBORAH WENER AND REUBEN FRANK)
Michael Valednitzky was born in Ukraine around 1830 and died before 1876.
He was the father of Benzion, Deborah and Sarah, all of them were born in Pokatilovo. In the Ukraine, their last name was Valednitzky, and in the new world they changed it to Wener.
Benzion was born around 1850, emigrated to Canada in 1904, and died in Ontario in 1918.
Deborah was born between 1856-63. She emigrated to Canada in 1890, and died in Montreal in 1905. She married Reuben Frank (Gregorsky in Ukraine, who was probably from Uman)
The youngest sister Sarah, was born around 1865, emigrated to Montreal in 1886, where she died in 1927. She married Solomon Frank, Reuben's brother.
Reuben Frank served with the Tsarist army before they emigrated to Montreal. He was religious.
