Location: 52°56' N 33°28' E
256 mi SW of Moscow


The town of Pochep is located in the Pochepsky district of the Bryansk oblast of the Russian Federation.
Before World War I it was located in the Mglin district of the Chernigov gubernia of the Russian Empire.
Other possible spellings of Pochep include Potchep, Poczep, Potschep, Pochepy.                                                  

Latest News: View Names List from Pochep Holocaust Monument  
Pochep's memorial to Jews murdered by the Nazis in the spring of 1942 was reconstructed in August, 2018. Granite memorial plaques placed around the monument were inscribed with the names of more than 1,164 people who were murdered there.
