 3/17/2017  Akkerman Cemetery Project

Hi all,

As you may know, the Bessarabia SIG is working on a big project of photographying and indexing tombstones in Bessarabia cemeteries.

The Akkerman cemetery makes part of this project.
Yefim Kogan has reported on his March report that a small batch of photos have already been received.
The photographer will go again in the spring of this year.

We need your help in translation from Russian and Hebrew.
We need your help in organizing a new cemetery project.

For all these new trips we need to collect donations!

For volunteering you can contact Yefim Kogan at yefimk@verizon.net

For donations you can go directly to the JewishGen Bessarabia donations page

 3/7/2016  All Akkerman Database

Hi all,

I've created a searchable database with Akkerman related persons extracted from several collections (Yad Vashem, Ellis Island, USHMM, Business Directories...).

The database contains already more than 5000 records and I expect it will grow in the future.

It is accessible on the kehilalinks site under the research menu or directly at the All Akkerman database Home page

I remind you that you can propose your images, articles, document or people data to be published on the site. This will help to make it grow.

Also, you can provide records of your family tree to be added in the Akkerman Database.

Thanks and enjoy,

Ariel PARKANSKY
