nearby streets.e.g the Sport gatve and the Kedainiai gatve. |
house 1 We are walking to the former house of doctor Paturskis. |
house 2 By crossing the street we encounter the former pharmacy of Notilis; even today (summer 2005) there is a pharmacy. |
The bare field On the way to their former houses we saw a bare field at the left side of the main street ( coming from the square). This field was before 1941 a lively place with some Jewish houses on it and some Jewish families living in these houses. Most of the Jews were shop keepers, e.g.There was a Jewish shoemaker , a Jewish butcher and a Jewish baker. Their names were: Kirpitsjnikas, Plituk and Blochas. Names of other Jewish families were: Kuperiene (Kuperas), Copyright
