Nisko is included in the Kolbuszowa Region Research Group (KRRG). Shtetlach were interwoven together like a tapestry and the Jewish people of neighboring shtetlach linked by marriages, trade and marketing. They shared schools, cemeteries, kosher butchers, bakers and more. Smaller shtetlach registered their birth, marriages and death in a nearby larger shtetl.   • In present day Poland Nisko is in the Podkarpackie Województwo.  Nisko is the seat of the Niżański Powiat [ County ] which includes the following Gminas [ Rural Administrative Districts ] : Harasiuki, Jarocin, Jeżowe, Krzeszów, Nisko, Rudnik Nad Sanem,  Ulanów

  • Nisko is also the seat of the Gmina [ Rural Administrative District ] which includes the city and commune of : Nisko and the following villages / communities:   Barce,  Kończyce, Malce, Nowa Wieś, Nowosielec, Racławice, Wolina , Zarzecze.
