29th International Conference on Jewish Genealogy

Richard Kollins presented the documentary film “Bashert” at the 29th International Conference on Jewish Genealogy in Philadelphia on August 6, 2009. The six-day conference, attended by more than 900 people who are searching for their family roots, included lectures, films, discussion groups, genealogy training, and tours of Philadelphia’s historic Jewish sites. Richard also met a number of participants who trace their ancestry to Linitz, and two of these (Sandy Schoemann and Cheryl Weiss) discovered from information on our web site that they are actually related. Sandy and Cheryl are both originally Habermans, the family who were friends of Morris and Bessie Kolinsky in Akron, Ohio.
