Conditions were so poor during the Civil War that they could
not obtain a tombstone and made do with a
piece of wood from a fence.
During a visit by Mel Camisarov , to Grafskoy (now Proletarsky), he was
told that the cemetery had been destroyed by the Ukrainians living in
Proletarsky to make way for a garage. The mayor told Mel that he recalled that
they found lots of bones when they ploughed up the cemetery.
