Jewish families that lived in Bilky, and possibly other nearby villages, used the Bilky cemetery as the final resting place for their loved ones.
The Jewish cemetery is located outside of town, with walls and a gate. The cemetery appeared that it is periodically maintained in the open area in the front of the cemetery, although other areas were overgrown—especially nearby the Ohel (Mausoleum)—making it very difficult to reach the stones.
In 2013, the cemetery had 561 tombstones (including rabbis), many of which are weathered and difficult to read. To limit the size of the tombstone photo album, they are presented in three parts. Mouseover "Cemetery" above in the menu, then click one the sub-tabs of the menu to view parts one, two or three.
In the documents section of the "Other" tab, you will find a link to a U.S. Commission Report completed in 2005 that attempted to document Jewish Cemeteries (and Synagogues and Mass Grave Sites) in Ukraine. This cemetery is not listed as well as many other village cemeteries of the Zakarpats'ka oblast.
