Bruno Zdenko Breyer in Japan with kindergarten children

This is especially designed to honor and celebrate the life of a man many admire. He was born into a Jewish traditional family, and became an actor, entertainer, magician, card trickster, great for entertaining children, medical Doctor, Pharmaceutical researcher, inventor, professor, and a loving companion/husband.

The Breyer Family

His extensive maternal ancestors were prosperous in Hohenstadt Moravia producing alcohol. A product that at time allowed only Jews to produce. The family-owned property there until 1929.

Bruno’s mother Hanna was born in Hohenstadt (now Zabreh) Moravia and after she married Marko Breyer they moved to Croatia, his native country, he was born in Varazdin, and they had four children; Albert who died in WWII, a second child died shortly after birth, Bruno and then Doris who moved to USA. After Hanna’s death Marko married to her sister Ida. The Breyer lived in several homes in Croatia such as in Zagreb, Opatija, near Samobor Castle area and Novi Sod.

Marko Breyer, was born in Varazdin Croatia, He was a lawyer in Zagreb and a member of the Lawyer's chamber until November 8th, 1929 when he gave up on law.

Their oldest son Albert soldiered in WWII married Ivana and they had two children: Nandi and Boris. Both children died about 1942 in Croatia.
Second child died at 18 months from pneumonia.

This is the story about Bruno.

Oldest daughter Doris, better known by family as Dorica moved to US and Mexico and eventually died and her ashes scattered in a cemetery in California.

By the way, I was privileged to have immigrated to US thanks with the sponsorship of Dorica (Doris) Breyer, while she lived in NY. My Mom and Dorica made these arrangements. The only person I met was his widow, Joan Emily Morgan; an Australian native and nurse by profession, Johnny as she was called by BZB, was all smiles and tears at the time I visited with her in Noraville Australia in 2003.
