Here lies buried one who sought refuge and lodged in the shadows of the      Almighty(*1)
Our dear and kind father
Our teacher our Rav David Dov the son of Zvi
Fiedler
that he had a generous heart
He honored our Rabbis(*2). He went
to his eternal resting place with a good name
and with a good long-life
(He departed) on the 28th of Elul in the year 5687 (1927)
May his soul be bound up in the bonds of life

 

(*1) Psalm 91, Shavuot 16b

(*2) Perhaps a euphemism for Our Rabbis honored him, but grammatically the above is correct
