Headstone A-20

Row 5, Col 10

headstone

An honored man in his community
An endearing man, he stood forth
in holiness for so many
Years as the Baal Kriah (Torah Reader)
in the Bet Midrash (House of Study/Synagoguge), so bitter it is for us
And we cry for our father
Our shining light in life, our teacher our Rav
Eliyahu the son of Judah
Arstein
He went to his eternal rest,
Foresaking us to lie at rest on the 22nd day of Kislev
The year 5681 (1921)
May his soul be bound up in the bonds of life.
