This list is the translation of the original list, which was written in Hebrew, by Mr. Menachem Goldin and Mrs. Miriam Ludzin. They both were born and grew up in Volpa, but were fortunate to leave the village before the war began. They were reunited in Israel. In 1945, when they realized that there were no other survivors from Volpa, they prepared this list from their memories of the Volpa community as they left it, in the eve of WWII.
The list includes the Father's name of each family, and it is assumed to be arranged the same way the houses in the village were arranged, therefore the same family names can be found several times in the list.
Only one person survived the Holocaust in Volpa.
This might not be the full list of the victims, but it is the only one currently existing.
Below are a few Family Pages, which
include details on families, as contributed by some of their relatives.
This list is a memory stone for
those Jews of Volpa -- men, women, children and old men-- who have been
murdered by the Nazis after horror tortures, and had never even been buried
as the Jewish tradition.
May their soul rest in peace.

1. The original list is in Hebrew. The translation
from Hebrew is ambiguous, since Hebrew uses no vowels: Therefore, in several
cases several options are presented.
2. The order of the list is as in the original list. The
first name below is the first name in the right side in the original
(since Hebrew is written right-to-left).
3. Each line in the original starts with the "THE
FAMILY OF THE RABBI..", which is omitted in the translation below, for
clarification purposes. In case this heading does not appear on the original, a
remark note is added.
4. Names with underline mark have a Memorial
Page in Yad Vashem, Jerusalem, which was filled out by some relative
person. Those can be found in Yad Vashem, Jerusalem.
