Astudied at King Edward High School, did Pharmacy through appreticeship and opened own Chemist Shop in Springs, called Central Pharmacy, 3rd Street. Springs in 1928.  Died aged 90 in Johannesburg. Buried at West Park.

Freda Frootko. Born 1910 in Anixte, Luthuania.  Came with family to Johannesburg, father ran grocery shop in Doornfontein.  Studied at Barnato Park High School.  Studied B.SC and M.SC at Wits.  Came t0 Springs when she married.  Worked in chemist shop, did much social work,  Soldiers Club during war, Zionist Society, Union of Jewish Women.  Rose to high administrative positions in UJW
