This website is dedicated to preserving the memory of the jews who lived in what was once the vivid Shtetl of Secureni, where our ancestors were born. It gathers information about the Jewish life of that small town, collected along years of (ongoing) research, and intends to stand as one more small monument symbolizing the persistence, strength and endurance of this people - the Jews.
At first, this may sound like a bitter contradiction, since there is barely anything that survived after the atrocities committed by the Nazis and their collaborators. But a sharper reflection upon it reveals an interesting phenomena, which we believe can find support in Pirkei Avot, Perek 6, Mishna 7:
Grandchildren are the crown of their elders,
and the glory of children is their parents.
History is not an isolated point in time, but a chain of events. And an unbroken one.
