Former Military Base
In implementation of a treaty between the USSR and the US on the Elimination of Their Intermediate-Range and Shorter-Range Missiles, dated December 8, 1987 (the INF treaty), the parties exchanged information "on intermediate-range and shorter-range missiles and launchers of such missiles and support structures and support equipment associated with such missiles and launchers." The Soviets identified a "deployment area" and "missile operating base" near Skala Podol'ska.
