Arye Cheichel was born in Skaudvile on Jan 1, 1908. He was the youngest child for the Cheichel (Kheykheyl/Heykhel) family. He immigrated to Palestine in 1925. Eti, his older sister was already in Palestine. She was a nurse in Jerusalem. They both lived in Jerusalem. Arye worked at Rothenberg's electricity factory in Naharaim. He married Hilde Moses in 1938 and lived in Haifa, Israel. Arye served as a second Lieutenant in the Jewish Brigade in the British Army. Arye had two Daughters. He died on June 25, 1977. |
