Hello. Allow me to introduce myself - I am David Friedman, the great-grandson of "Aharon Fridman (1855-1932), cantor in Berlin 1882-1932, was awarded a special title by the German authorities.".

Thank you for your fascinating history of Shaki. I just found your page after years of surfing the web and looking for more information on Shaki.

Please feel free to look my family tree on the web (http://pages.prodigy.net/dafried1/surnames.html ) -- one of the Friedmann lines starts in Szaki. I would be very interested in getting your ideas of where I can look for additional information about Sch'lomo Friedmann (or Fridman) and Esther Bergmann, their family (parents abd children), etc.

Aron Friedmann (this is how we've always spelled his name) lived from 22 Aug 1855 until 9 Jun 1936. The title he received was Konigliche Musik Director of Royal Music Director.

Thank you,

David Friedman
