Memorial in Holon and Nahalat Yitzhak Cemeteries, Israel
Holon Cemetery in Israel contains many memorials to Jewish shtetls. Amongst them is Keidan (Kedainiai). On the left hand side of the base are inscribed the names of four shtetls in the vicinity of Keidan: Eiragole (Ariogala), Dotnuva, Kroki (Krakes), and Shat (Seta). Nahalat Yitzhak Cemetery in Givatayin contains a memorial dedicated in 1981 by the Association of Lithuanian Jews in Israel in memory of Lithuanian Jews who were murdered in the Holocaust. In the photo on the left, the names of all the Jewish shtetls in Lithuania are inscribed on the plaques at the base of the large memorial. In the photo on the right, Shat is mentioned in the leftmost column, seventh town from the top. Shat is spelled here with only two letters (shin, tet) instead of the usual three.
