Located west of Vilkomir (Ukmerge). Early 19th century - Elijah ben Jacob Ragoler 1794-1849, who established a renowned yeshiva in Slobodka (Kovno suburb), was called Ragoler because he had been rabbi in Iragola (Ariogala northwest of Kovno) for three years, but before that, his first post as rabbi had been in Shot.
