From part of Lithuania, as well, our borders were uprooted and our slain were many; on the hills they burned us, those who chased us were swifter than eagles. The holy town of Pawlitch was destroyed to its foundation until our hearts melted. The holy town of Pogrebishche was destroyed and not one of its living things remained in all our boundaries. In the holy town of Sadeh Lavan [Bila Tserkov] they darkened our faces like the bottom of a pot. In the holy city of Be'er approximately 3,000 holy souls were struck and there too our dwelling places were cast down, our Torah scrolls were rent, and our holy place was utterly destroyed. And in the holy town of Koshtantin they killed 1,600 souls of our people. And in the holy of Palinoi they slew a massive slaughter in all our streets, approximately 10,000 holy souls, the crowns of our heads, since it was a fortified city to which our pride and precious ones fled.
