Before the war, the
passage and the apartments were just an empty spot
where Luria kept his storage. He also
kept a shop, selling all
kinds of small items to the people of Pakruojis.
Ber Lurje traded in flax and in linen. He was a woodcutter as well.
At the Vilnius gatve, situated at the south of Vytauto gatve, Ber
Lurje kept a fur workshop and a wood workshop. It was a
well-to-do-family.
Kalman Lurja ( Luria) emigrated to South Africa before1941.
