David Schneider is on the right on the left is my brother-in-law Jacob Meltz a farmer from Wepener in the Free State.
David was a extremely strong man. You don't want to get involved in a argument with him. You might come off second best.
In his youth he spent a lot of time in South West Africa (now Namibia).
He told me one day he was out hunting, when nature called, he put down his rifle sat under the shade of a nearby tree.
Within a few minutes he saw a movement on his left, which happened to be a fully grown lion stalking him.
He got in that tree like a bolt of lightning, no time to grab his rifle.
That lion lay under that tree for at least 4 hours only to move away slowly after it became dark.
