To your inquiry, I inform you that the former Leutnant Ernst Schaffitz was handed over to Poland on account of prosecutable killings, and sentenced to death by the District Court Warsaw in 1948. The death sentence was commuted to life imprisonment. Schaffitz died 12/6/1956 in the penal center in Sieradz, Poland.
