Lithuanian Internal Passports

The Internal Passports, shown below, are for several members of Kupiskis families.  Included is Seine Kursmanaite, Dveira Mina Trapidaite and her brother Yankelis Trapido.

Seine's Internal Passport was registered in Panevezys and was obtained after World War I when all individuals were required to have this document to prove their citizenship.  For further information click on the Internal Passports.

 


Dveira Mina left Kupiskis in 1934 for life on a kibbutz in Palestine.  She died in Israel in 1985. 

Yankel, after his marriage to Raisel Shpits in 1931 lived in Panevezys, and was killed in the Holocaust.
