Shirona Lurie - The older man in the middle is Mr. Velvel Rakov and his wife is behind him. They both came from Krasilov and settled in Atlit, Israel. Velvel Rakov and my grandfather, Joseph Berger (Lemberger) were friends, both working in Israel building roads...getting malaria... in the early 1920's. My mother (on the right) was friends of the Rakov daughter, holding her young son, who is on this list...:-) |
