The Jews of Krakow and its Surrounding Towns

Krakow Survivors

Note: This data has been temporarily removed as it is being transferred to the main JewishGen site.

As part of our ongoing collaboration with the Krakow Archives, archive staff have now provided us with a new list of over 10,000 names. This list can be searched by using our search engine (below). The list comprises those who survived the Holocaust and were either born in Krakow, lived in Krakow after the war, or else owned property in Krakow.

The original documents often include additional information such as 'Address', 'Occupation', 'Comments', and 'Sources'. Copies of the original documents can be ordered by e-mailing the Krakow Archives.

Acknowledgments: The availability of this material is entirely due to the efforts exerted by the Director of the Krakow Archives in Grodzka St., Mr. Robert Bogusz. Shetlinks/Krakow extends its sincere appreciation to him and his staff. Thanks also to Miriam Romm who was instrumental in liaising with the Krakow Archives.
