The list below comprises the addresses of the various Archives that are found in Kraków. Note that all towns and villages surrounding Kraków are supposed to submit vital records older than 100 years to the Central Archives in Kraków. This, unfortunately is not always done, and researchers for these surrounding towns must thus go to both the Kraków and the local Archives.
For Central Kraków - City Archives (Urzad Stanu Cywilnego), Plac Dominikanski #11, Kraków. Has vital records (birth, marriage and death) for the last 100 years.
For Southern Kraków (including Podgorze) - City Archives (Urzad Stanu Cywilnego), ul. Miodowa #6, Kraków. Has vital records (birth, marriage and death) for the last 100 years.
Central Archives - City Archives (Urzad Stanu Cywilnego), ul. Sienna #16, Kraków. Has vital records (birth, marriage and death) older than 100 years (i.e., currently all records prior to 1920). This archives also has other documents, such as census records, as well as vital records from the surrounding towns and villages of Kraków.
