• Early History: The first Jews arrived in Kobyla Góra in the second half of the 18th century. In 1778 there were six Jewish families engaged in trade. They sold fish from nearby ponds to residents of neighboring towns: Kępno (Kempen), Ostrzeszów (Schildberg) and Sycow (Groß Wartenberg). In the second half of the 19th century Jews from six nearby villages also belonged to the Kobyla Góra Jewish community.
