Holocaust memorial

 

In 1942 the last Jewish inhabitants of Kleinsteinach were deported. Four members of the Jewish community were sent to Izbica. The remaining five members were sent to Theresienstadt.

No one survived. Their names and dates of birth were:

Lina Grünbaum, nee Blum, born 09/07/1874
Sophie Grünbaum, born 12/22/1871
Isidore Grünbaum, born 10/13/1904
Moritz Neumann, born 01/23/1892
Meta Neumann, nee Grunbaum, born 06/16/1896
Irmgard Neumann, born 03/18/1924
Erich Neumann, born 08/22/1931
Clare Castle, nee Sammer, born 09/08/1872
