Shater and District Benevolent Society Tenth Anniversary
The 10th anniversary party of the Shater & District Society on September 23, 1961 was held at the Johannesburg home of Chone & Ray Glass. All of the three photos below were taken at this party.

Nathan Becker (not Shatter, but was the bookkeeper for Shatter Society); Mrs. Ray (Snaid) Glass from Shat (wife of Chone Glass); Morrie Cohen (not Shatter, of German descent, married to Shatter Ethel (Schneid) Milner, who was widowed in 1942); Joe Woolf (Shatter); Oga (Katz) Woolf (Shatter, mother of Joe Woolf); Chone Gaddie (Shatter, not facing camera); Mottel Schneid (Shatter, with hand on shoulder of older brother); Shlomo (Shleimchick) Schneid (brother of aforementioned Mottel Schneid); Chone Glass (from Jonava married to Shatter Ray (Rochke) Snaid); Avraham Feldman from Anyksciai (married to Joe Woolf's cousin, Anna (Chana) Katz); Yankel-Michel (Jack) Katz (Shatter, uncle of Joe Woolf, his mother's older brother); unknown (Joe thinks it was the Gabbe of the Bet HaKnesset); Leizer (Louis) Garb (from Vilkomir, married to Chone Glass' sister).
