We are researchig the Levine Family from Amdur.
Teri is descended from Sam Levine, and Gayle from Rachel Drucker.
Gayle:
My mother's maiden name is Drucker; her parents were Nathan and
Rachel (Levine) Drucker. Nathan and Rachel were married in Amdur and arrived
in New York in 1904. YIVO in New York has the Landsman records.
My Grandmother Rachel Drucker's maiden name is Levine. Her parents were Chaim and Mary. Their other children were Sam (Bronx), Dan (NY), Hyman (Savannah, Georgia), David, Ida Kravitz (New Haven), and Anna Schnitzer (Poughkepsie, New York).
My family has always been curious about the Drucker side of the family, for my Grandfather Nathan Drucker died shortly after arriving in San Francisco in 1907. Gayle has been in contact with the Schnitzer and Kravitz families.
We would be delighted to hear from anyone who is a landsman or from anyone who has any pertinent information.
